Escaping is MALOCH’s one confirmed player objective: the official description says you are trapped in an empty office building during a snowstorm and must find a way out. The enabled You Escaped badge and a current complete-run video both show that the experience records a successful completion. What remains less stable is the exact room order, interaction chain, monster behavior, and timing standard, so this hub helps you build a route that survives a changed server or update instead of memorizing unsupported turns.

Completion proof
You Escaped Badge
Reach the visible escape result, wait for the award, verify your inventory, and record the mode if the badge does not arrive.
The confirmed completion chain
The strongest public chain begins with the official objective and ends with the visible result. You start somewhere inside the office experience, search and interact using the current game prompts, survive the moving threat, reach the way out, and receive a YOU ESCAPED result in current complete-run footage. Roblox’s badge record separately confirms an enabled badge named You Escaped with the description “Congrats.”
This evidence does not publish a permanent map, a complete item list, a fixed number of exits, or an exact interaction count. It also does not establish that the standard, 25-player, and VC-only Places award completion identically. Treat the chain as stable at a high level and the route details as version-sensitive.
Build a route from checkpoints, not turns
Checkpoint notes remain useful when turns reverse, players open doors in a different order, or an update moves a prompt. Write only enough to reconstruct the chain: “spawn by lit partition → terminal desk → darker corridor → opened route → exit result” is more adaptable than a long series of left/right directions with no landmark names.
Read the office safely
The complete-run footage checked for this guide shows very dark office areas, illuminated ceiling sections, workstations or terminals, broader rooms with desks, and a green on-screen marker during part of the run. It finishes on the YOU ESCAPED screen. Use these visuals as recognition help, but let the current prompt decide what is interactable. A desk shown in a video may not require the same action after an update.
At every interaction, watch for a visible state change: new objective text, a marker, an opened path, a changed display, or another response. If nothing changes, do not repeat the input indefinitely. Move back to the last known checkpoint and inspect the route for a missed prompt. Active-development bugs are possible, but a clean rejoin is more useful than declaring a room impossible from one attempt.
Survive long enough to finish
The official description says the threat hears and understands you, but it does not publish the exact detection channels. During an escape attempt, reduce unnecessary sound and avoid testing several variables at once. If the threat appears, use a route you already mapped and keep your camera on the next landmark. An unknown side room can be a dead end; familiarity is more valuable than distance alone.
Groups should decide who leads and who confirms the rear. Short landmark callouts prevent the team from splitting at identical corridors. If voice is available, keep speech deliberate until the Sound Detection guide can be compared with the current mode. The separate VC-only Place is official, but its name does not prove a particular AI rule.
Normal completion before speed
Complete the route consistently before optimizing it. A normal run teaches which prompts are required, which pauses are loading or interaction time, where the threat interrupts, and how the exit confirms success. Once you can explain each segment, save a split at the start and end of every meaningful interaction.
The public speedrun video title includes a time of 3:39 and calls itself a world record. That is useful evidence that players are routing MALOCH, not proof of an official category, moderation standard, current record, or universally accepted timer. Use Speedrun to define a repeatable local standard before comparing a number.
Escape failures and quick recovery
You reached the apparent exit but nothing happened
Check for a current interaction prompt and confirm that earlier objective text changed. Return to the last responsive terminal or route state rather than repeatedly touching the same door. If a current walkthrough shows a marker you never received, compare the preceding interaction.
The layout does not match the video
Stop following turn directions and compare high-level checkpoints: spawn state, responsive workstation or object, route opening, threat contact, and final exit. The recording proves one dated run, not an immutable map.
The group completed but you did not
Record whether you saw the ending screen, were alive, were spectating, or were separated in another Place. Check badge inventory before restarting. Those differences are test fields, not published award rules.
A chase ruins the same segment
Separate navigation from detection. Practice reaching the segment with minimal extra interactions, then vary one possible trigger. Use Monster for observable behavior and keep your fastest route as a second goal.
Finish the run cleanly
When the completion screen appears, pause before leaving. Note the displayed result, wait for the Roblox badge notification, and verify the badge in your inventory if you are hunting it. Save the mode and date with your route because MALOCH is actively developed. Then either refine the failed segment, move to the speedrun splits, or compare the standard route with the official mode pages.
